Huh, really interesting how your interviewer had his mind made up even before Mr. Kohnstamm started talking. It's also very important to mention that the interviewer seemed to be very "offended" by the fact that the author admits that didn't go to all places mentioned on the guide books but at the same time he never took the time to read Mr.Kohnstamm's book before the interview. So I'll ask the same question back to you: Is it fair, ethical,professional and reliable journalism(being that a lot of people will make their on judgment about the author by hearing this interview) that this journalist asked-almost accusingly if Mr. Kohnstamm had plagiarized anything? The way I see it, it's a bunch of people freaking out like they found out that Santa doesn't exist. Tough.

Lonely Planet is my travel bible and it is sad to hear that this guy cheated. I mean really it is not like he has a tough job or anything. This is just as bad as steroids and baseball. Dude, you are getting paid to travel. Did you hear me? Someone is PAYING you to do what most of can only do for two precious weeks out of the year. If I can write curriculum for hundreds of students every 16 weeks, you can at least sleep in a hotel and review it. Just do your job, sheesh

Wow! I really thought Mr. K was trying to sell books with this stunt. Could he have been more aloof or indifferent in that interview? Why give the interview, Thomas? Why even bother?
