Apropos of the segment title, a large part of WNPR's broadcast of it was pre-empted by a National Weather Service Severe Thunderstorm Watch advisory. Having seen War of the Worlds, where Tom Cruise listens to an EBS test during a Martian attack, I appreciate that some stations are returning to the business of keeping audiences aware of local emergencies.

Now, if only newspapers would get back to informing public discourse instead of being profit centers, we might start moving forward, again.
